While everywhere else the fabrication of Marseille soap in the traditional way has been abandoned, Marius Fabre and his descendants have done their utmost to prevent it from disappearing, keeping it alive through generations. Nowadays, only a few remaining soap makers still use cauldrons, fewer are those who can cook the soap to perfect fabrication. At Marius Fabre, these methods are still in use, and soap are made following age-old traditional methods.
